The Must Have Wardrobe Staple for fall in Los Angeles

Los Angeles never really gets to experience fall weather.

We can buy all the heavy knit sweaters and cute scarves that we want but we aren’t going to get much use out of them unless we go out in the early morning or late evening.

This is why I wanted to share a cute Los Angeles friendly version of  a “fall outfit” that you can wear during the day. You can also add a warm sweater to this look if you want to wear it during the chillier parts of the day

The jumpsuit I’m wearing is from Target from one of their amazing new-ish lines, Universal Thread. I love this line so much that I’ve purchased a slew of basic tees and other cute tops recently! You can think of Universal Thread as an affordable Anthropologie (our prayers have been answered)!!

Unfortunately, my jumpsuit is no longer available BUT the key takeaway here is the style and fabric combo. Light, breathable jumpsuits are a must have fall wardrobe staple for all L.A. girls!

They are warm enough to fight off the fall breeze but also light enough to get you through the hot midday sun! They are also amazingly easy to layer so you can add an extra thick sweater if the day stays chilly or your office decides to blast the a/c.

I added a light faux leather jacket and pointy black flats to my look to dress up it up. My husband and I were shooting family portraits this day and I wanted to have a somewhat professional look when interacting with our sweet clients. I’m telling you, these linen jumpsuits are everything!

Since my jumpsuit isn’t available, I wanted to make sure and leave you with a few others that are super cute and relatively affordable (I know the striped Madewell one is a little pricey but I had to share it, it’s so adorable!)

Urban Outfitters High Neck Linen Jumpsuit $39.99

Madewell Striped Pull On Jumpsuit $138

Anthropologie Faithfull Cropped Linen Jumpsuit$59.95

Madewell Ruffle Jumpsuit $49.99

Which jumpsuit do you love the most? And how do you handle the warm fall weather here in Los Angeles?
